reeds restaurant and bar in Meaford is the realization of a gastronomic dream for Chef Jesse Reed.
Even while he was working at Toronto's Splendido and Lobby and later at Classico’s in Kitchener he was planning reeds.
He wanted a menu that would change with the seasons. One that would use naturally-raised, organic meats.
He envisaged a menu with wild-caught Lake Huron fish, field-fresh produce, thoughtful cooking enhanced by traditional Canadian and international influences.
All this would be combined to deliver the fine-dining experience that patrons discover daily at reeds.
It's casual, fun, delicious, and never intimidating.
Jesse’s passion is to provide the best food, prepared using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible.
As Jesse says, “Locally grown food tastes better, it’s healthier and it supports regional agriculture - while at the same time helping eliminate the negative impact of long-distance food shipping”.
